We are currently looking for a stand alone Health and Safety person to work for our client, a company that would be classified as mid to large sized. Your tasks as a Health and Safety Coordinator:

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits
  • Write, review and implement safe work plans and job procedures
  • Write hazard assessments
  • Coordinate subcontractor safety documents
  • Provide safety support to an assigned or multiple projects

The required qualifications for the Health and Safety Person

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty
  • Must possess a valid G drivers license and have access to a vehicle
  • Health & Safety Certifications and COR Auditing training would be an asset
  • have at least 5-10 years of Health and Safety experience with a Construction company
  • Bulk of time is spent on the production floor working with employees and supervisors
  • Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role
