Main Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician:

  • Perform installation of new equipment and commission systems
  • Perform diagnostics tests and calibration of installed equipment
  • Perform repairs of equipment and specify replacement parts
  • Ensure H&S guidelines are being met
  • Maintain service records on customer’s equipment and issue reports and calibration certificates

Main Responsibilities of Valve Technician:

  • Valve Repair in Shop or at customer site
  • Final Assembly and Testing of Valves
  • Advising clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of the system
  • Operation and use of Pressure Relief Valves
  • Appropriate use of the ASME Code
  • Critical Inspection and Testing of ASME Valves
  • Repair maintenance, setting and testing of ASME Valves

The required qualifications of the Field Service Technician

  • Mechanical and electrical working experience is a must
  • 2+ years of field service technician experience is required
  • Must have a good aptitude for the operation and repair of electronic devices.
  • Reasonable proficiency in the use of a personal computer, at least for data entry and the use of diagnostic devices.
  • Must be able to travel within Canada. Travel to the United States for training only
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Must have a valid G Ontario License
  • Must have a clean driving record
