Currently looking for an ICI Construction Estimator.

Our client is a Canadian-owned construction company, whose reputation for professional project management in the field of Construction has spanned forty plus years. They focus on interior builds and are one the leading GCs in their select niche interiors market. They offer competitive salaries, two company wide bonuses per year and have a beautiful new office with a fitness studio/ gym for all of their employees.

They are currently looking for an Estimator to join their well established team. The ideal candidate would have at least four years experience of experience estimating on interiors construction management projects. Experience working on office interiors would be an asset. They are also looking for some one with good communication skills, some one who is a good team player and some one who could fit into their company culture.

Job Description

  • Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment, and subcontracts for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
  • Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations

  • Establish and maintain tendering processes
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
  • Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
  • Manage and co-ordinate construction projects, and prepare construction progress schedules
