About Us: Fuze HR is currently hiring on behalf of a leading Canadian manufacturer of premium e-cigarette products. Our client is dedicated to excellence in production and is seeking a hardworking and motivated Entry-Level Batching Technician to join their dynamic team. This role is focused on the preparation and mixing of production batches, not laboratory testing or research.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform batching operations in pairs, following detailed procedures for preparation, setup, measurement, mixing, and documentation.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods for raw materials handling.
  • Restock raw material shelves as needed.
  • Collect samples of raw ingredients for quality assessments.
  • Assist the Senior Batcher with monthly inventory counts.
  • Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized.
  • Dispose of materials according to SOPs.
  • Communicate any non-conformances to the Supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in general labor tasks (20% of the role), such as cleaning containers, assisting in the warehouse, building skids, picking, and packing.
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate ingredient measurement and bulk reconciliation.
  • Basic knowledge in Chemistry/Science is required.
  • Ability to work comfortably in an environment with strong fragrances.
  • High attention to detail for precise handling of materials and product mixing.
  • Good vision for reading documents and identifying product information accurately.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Strong focus and concentration for extended tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate respectfully with diverse team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma in Chemical or Food Processing, or equivalent experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or food industry setting is advantageous.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility required to work either shift as needed:
    • Morning Shift: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
    • Evening Shift: 4:00 pm – 12:00 am
  • Starting hourly rate of $17, with potential increases up to $19/hour.
  • Monthly KPI bonuses ranging from $100 to $300 based on efficiency, performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Work hours may vary weekly. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required depending on production needs.
