Fuze HR is currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to oversee E & I maintenance and projects at our client’s production facility in Taber, AB. The successful candidate will report directly to the Mill Superintendent and manage a team of 10-15 electricians and instrumentation technicians. This company has 3 manufacturing facilities & 2 distribution centres across Canada, and can confidently call themselves an industry leader in their space.
This is a permanent position with growth opportunities, great bonus, a pension, and great benefits. The E & I Supervisor will work Monday – Friday days, with flexibility to work paid overtime during peak periods/seasons.

Your tasks as an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor:
- Ensure that work planned complies with all applicable provincial and federal regulations, including company policies, standards and manage electrical permits
- Participate in the selection, training, evaluation of department employees
- Schedule, assign, plan and monitor work of electrical shop employees
- Train employees on new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies, electrical codes and standards
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance and work schedules
- Maintain time, payroll, work order, material, equipment and other electrical department shop records, handle reporting as required
- Plan, develop, and prioritize work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of electrical expenditures and procedures for equipment maintenance
The required qualifications of an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor:
- Electrical/Instrumentation Technologist or Electrical/Instrumentation Trade (Red Seal), must have at least 5 years of relevant maintenance experience post achievement of Red Seal
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising E & I maintenance within a unionized environment
- Good knowledge of industry standards and codes
- Excellent computer knowledge with CMMS, Microsoft office
- Sound judgment, analytical, problem solving and conflict management skills
