We are eagerly looking to hire a Cost Accountant with Manufacturing experience for an exciting growing company located in Brampton, to start immediately.

Your tasks as the Cost Accountant:

  • Reconcile and adjust various balance sheet accounts, including banks, receivables, prepaid and accrued liabilities.
  • Responsible of recording capitalized project spending, fixed assets, intangibles and related depreciation
  • Reconcile auxiliary sub-ledgers to the general ledger
  • Assist in the control and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
  • Costing
  • Inventory Management
  • Month end closing
  • Analyze complex financial transactions
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivables

·Other duties as assigned

The required qualifications of the Cost Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional designation (CPA / CA, CMA, CGA) or working towards it, professional qualifications back home is an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in food industry an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Business Central), or large ERP systems.
  • Good English written and spoken communication skills.
  • Must have manufacturing experience
  • Strong manufacturing accounting knowledge i.e standard costing, inventory valuation, cycle count etc.
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Able to multi-task and manage a tight timeline in a dynamic and high-volume exciting environment and work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment
  • Available to work in the office Monday – Friday
