Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
§ Read and interpret drawings
§ Program, set-up and Operate CNC Machines
§ Design, select and set up proper tooling, holding fixtures and attachments
§ Calculate proper operating conditions (speed/feeds) and tooling for the job
§ Ensure that machined parts conform to specifications.
§ Use precision gauges and measurement instruments
§ Knowledge of “G & M” codes with programming/editing skills
§ Ability to independently set up CNC Machinery
§ Prioritize daily inventory list to be physically counted
§ Identify and implement corrective measures on variances
§ Educational/Experience Requirements
§ Post-secondary education preferred
§ Proficient in the use of MS Office and standard software (Lotus Notes and JDE preferred)
§ Must have a valid forklift license with a minimum of 3-5 years experience operating a counter balance lift truck.
§ General physical activities, with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
§ Excellent interpersonal with superior communication skills; both verbal and written
§ Well organized, well-planned, productive, self-directed individual who requires minimal supervision and can make timely decisions
§ General machinist certificate or related work experience
§ Minimum 3-5 years work experience setting up and operating CNC Milling machinery and tools
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience creating programs in CAM software (Mastercam or similar)
Ability to read & interpret blue prints, drawings, charts & tables
Previous experience working with overhead cranes an asset
Proficient in the use of MS Office and standard software (Lotus Notes and JDE preferred)
