Job Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager

Location: Newmarket, Ontario

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join a growing team. In this role, you will oversee a team of civil technologists and manage all aspects of the client projects, from design to installation. The successful candidate will be a natural leader with strong technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.


  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day functions of the civil technologist department
  • Lead and mentor a team of civil technologists, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints
  • Oversee the design and engineering process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns
  • Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project status and milestones
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project success, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering project management or similar capacity
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil engineering projects from conception to completion
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software tools and technologies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
