Role: Buyer / Planner
Status: Permeant – hybrid
Location: Montreal, QC
Our client is a leader in the promotional products industry and is currently looking for a Buyer / Planner to join their Purchasing department. If you are passionate, motivated and want to work for a dynamic company, we want to meet you!
Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales trends, historical data and demand forecasts to determine optimal inventory levels for assigned products.
- Develop and maintain inventory replenishment plans and purchase orders to ensure adequate inventory levels
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock-outs, overstocks and slow-moving inventory
- Work with suppliers and logisticians to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
- Coordinate with various departments to manage inventory levels during promotions, season changes and product launches
- Evaluate and recommend changes to inventory policies, procedures and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Improve efficiency and accuracy
- Create and maintain inventory reports and dashboards to track inventory performance and provide visibility to stakeholders

- Ensure documents are complete, accurate and reconciled (invoice/packing list/purchase order) before they are used
- Ensure documents are complete, accurate and in agreement (invoice/packing list/purchase order) before they are sent to the accounting department for processing
- Manage and optimize inventory levels in multiple distribution centers and warehouses.
- Maintain our ERP system with accurate and up-to-date product information, including product descriptions, pricing and SKU details
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product information is consistent across all channels
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field
- 2+ years experience in inventory planning, purchasing or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in printing or product customization
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have advanced Excel skills to meet the requirements of this position
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Bilingual: French, English
