Role: Buyer / Planner

Status: Permeant – hybrid

Location: Montreal, QC

Our client is a leader in the promotional products industry and is currently looking for a Buyer / Planner to join their Purchasing department. If you are passionate, motivated and want to work for a dynamic company, we want to meet you!


  • Analyze sales trends, historical data and demand forecasts to determine optimal inventory levels for assigned products.
  • Develop and maintain inventory replenishment plans and purchase orders to ensure adequate inventory levels
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock-outs, overstocks and slow-moving inventory
  • Work with suppliers and logisticians to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
  • Coordinate with various departments to manage inventory levels during promotions, season changes and product launches
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to inventory policies, procedures and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Create and maintain inventory reports and dashboards to track inventory performance and provide visibility to stakeholders

  • Ensure documents are complete, accurate and reconciled (invoice/packing list/purchase order) before they are used

  • Manage and optimize inventory levels in multiple distribution centers and warehouses.
  • Maintain our ERP system with accurate and up-to-date product information, including product descriptions, pricing and SKU details
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product information is consistent across all channels


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field
  • 2+ years experience in inventory planning, purchasing or related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in printing or product customization
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have advanced Excel skills to meet the requirements of this position
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Bilingual: French, English
