We are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to be based out of our Burnaby location! This is a full-time permanent position. You will be full-time onsite for a few months and may transition into a hybrid office role (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). <\/div>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/div>\n\n- Develop the logistics workflow for moving materials from remote demolition and cleanup sites, ensuring reduced costs and fewer delays.<\/li>\n
- Design and deploy a database for the Logistics Management System.<\/li>\n
- Produce additional procedures and compliance documents to support a high\u2011standard logistics operation.<\/li>\n
- Carry out yearly performance evaluations for all team members and provides consistent, ongoing feedback.<\/li>\n
- Offer guidance and support to staff involved in rail car coordination, trucking operations, and barge transportation.<\/li>\n
- Oversee essential weekly communication with operations leadership and clearly communicate updates to the logistics support team.<\/li>\n
- Lead or participate in regional planning discussions with metal processing operations managers.<\/li>\n
- Collaborate with Information Services leadership to introduce new technologies that enhance logistics functions.<\/li>\n
- Deliver expert insights and analysis for a variety of projects and organizational initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/div>\n\n- 5+ years\u2019 experience in each mode of transportation management; road, rail and ocean freight.<\/li>\n
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, or transportation.<\/li>\n
- Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles.<\/li>\n
- Ability to pass background check <\/li>\n
- Understanding of Transport limitations (weight and\/or dimensions.)<\/li>\n
- Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.<\/li>\n
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.<\/li>\n
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.<\/li>\n
- Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software.<\/li>\n
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
