About <\/strong>the Opportunity<\/strong><\/div>\n
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist<\/strong> to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in an independent environment and is motivated to take ownership of payroll operations while driving process improvements.<\/div>\n
You will play a critical role in managing end-to-end payroll functions and supporting the implementation of a new payroll system.<\/div>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/div>\n
    \n
  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing for all employees across Canada <\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation <\/li>\n
  • Administer payroll functions including wage garnishments, deductions, and remittances <\/li>\n
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters <\/li>\n
  • Lead and support the implementation of a new payroll system, including testing and validation of system functionality <\/li>\n
  • Review current payroll processes and recommend improvements <\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity <\/li>\n
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll inquiries and issues <\/li>\n
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Qualifications<\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a payroll-focused role <\/li>\n
    • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements <\/li>\n
    • Experience managing full-cycle payroll independently <\/li>\n
    • Experience with payroll system implementations or upgrades is considered an asset <\/li>\n
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills <\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams <\/li>\n
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
