F<\/strong>uzeHR<\/strong> <\/strong>is now hiring an experienced, licensed Heavy Equipment Technician to work in the field, servicing customer-owned equipment on site throughout Vancouver Island. If you\u2019re a talented mechanic who is self-motivated and loves working in a customer-facing capacity, we want to meet you! Because this is a smaller branch, we\u2019re specifically seeking experienced individuals who won\u2019t require significant training or management, people who work well independently and feel comfortable performing impeccable service without supervision.<\/div>\n

    What are the Responsibilities<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/div>\n
    As a Field Service Technician, you will spend your days diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing preventative maintenance on material handling and\/or heavy equipment at customer sites throughout southern Vancouver Island and beyond. As with any customer-facing role, you will be responsible for representing the organization professionally and providing exemplary customer service and reliable, quality work to ensure their loyalty and repeat business long term.<\/div>\n
    Specific responsibilities will include:<\/div>\n
      \n
    • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling equipment including:\n
        \n
      • Forklifts<\/li>\n
      • Stackers<\/li>\n
      • Electric carts & tow trucks<\/li>\n
      • Transporters<\/li>\n
      • Yard Tractors<\/li>\n
      • Container Handlers<\/li>\n
      • Other mobile material handling systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs.<\/li>\n
      • Use digital diagnostic tools, voltage meters, electronic manuals, and software to troubleshoot issues.<\/li>\n
      • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service manuals.<\/li>\n
      • Ensure all repaired equipment is fully operational, clean, and ready for customer use.<\/li>\n
      • Maintain a clean and safe workspace at customer sites.<\/li>\n
      • Support admin tasks such as documenting work performed and updating service records.<\/li>\n
      • Perform other tech-related duties as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        What are the Requirements?<\/strong><\/div>\n
          \n
        • College diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.<\/li>\n
        • Strong preference for Red Seal candidates, but we are open to meeting individuals presenting journeyperson tickets OR extensive, demonstrable experience.<\/li>\n
        • 3\u20135 years<\/strong> of experience in automotive, forklift, heavy equipment, or truck & coach repair.<\/li>\n
        • Valid driver\u2019s license (required for field service).<\/li>\n
        • Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.<\/li>\n
        • Proficient with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measurement devices.<\/li>\n
        • Excellent communication, problem\u2011solving, and customer service skills.<\/li>\n
        • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
