Shipping & Receiving \u2013 Forklift<\/strong><\/div>\n
We have an opportunity for an experienced Shipper & Receiver\/Forklift to join the operations team. The Shipper & Receiver\/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, and packaging and other elemental activities related to Warehouse & Distribution requirements. They operate forklifts, reach, Raymond, Crown trucks, and other machinery to move items, and materials on and off trucks and loading docks. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Adheres and complies with all workplace and food safety regulations.<\/div>\n

    Functions & Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipment and report any hazards <\/li>\n
    • Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures <\/li>\n
    • Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working <\/li>\n
    • Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner <\/li>\n
    • Load, unload containers or trucks and move products and materials by hand or using counterbalance forklift, reach truck and\/or basic material handling equipment <\/li>\n
    • Move product onto and off moving trucks, stages finished product, completes relevant paperwork <\/li>\n
    • Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and or material storage area <\/li>\n
    • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages <\/li>\n
    • Locates materials\/supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders <\/li>\n
    • Communicate shipment discrepancies to Supply Chain and Production Department upon detection <\/li>\n
    • Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking, order picking and ensure proper product in rotation <\/li>\n
    • Verifies pallets being delivered are using correct Pallet ID, Lot and Item Code and communicating unforeseen changes due to customer requests <\/li>\n
    • May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials <\/li>\n
    • Attends all Food and Health & Safety training <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      What you bring:<\/strong><\/div>\n
        \n
      • Minimum of 1 years of current Forklift <\/li>\n
      • Experience driving counterbalance, reach, Raymond & Crown trucks<\/li>\n
      • Knowledge of Automated Shipping Systems \/ RF Technology <\/li>\n
      • Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently or within a team environment<\/li>\n
      • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting \u2013 up to 35lbs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
