While there is no sales or business development requirement on paper, we are particularly interested in meeting estimators with strong networks &amp; the confidence\/desire to work those in support of uncovering new business and\/or increasing project loads with existing customers. <\/div>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul class=\"list mt20\">\n<li>Prepare detailed electrical take-offs and estimates for utility projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and indirect costs<\/li>\n<li>Develop estimates based on contract documents, bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications<\/li>\n<li>Review project plans and specifications to confirm complete scope coverage<\/li>\n<li>Prepare conceptual and preliminary budgets with limited information<\/li>\n<li>Manage estimating efforts across project types, from Bid\u2011Build to Design\u2011Build<\/li>\n<li>Analyze alternative means and methods to identify the most cost\u2011effective solutions<\/li>\n<li>Identify risk exposures, quantify order\u2011of\u2011magnitude impacts, and support mitigation strategies<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate technical proposal requirements in collaboration with Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Review and scope specialty contractor and supplier bids<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain tendering processes, cost monitoring, and reporting systems<\/li>\n<li>Advise on tendering procedures, analyze submissions, recommend awards, and support negotiations<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate pricing packages with suppliers, subcontractors, designers, and owners<\/li>\n<li>Participate in site reviews, tender reviews, hand\u2011off meetings, and project close\u2011out<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on scope changes and cost adjustments<\/li>\n<li>Prepare economic feasibility studies for changes and project alternatives<\/li>\n<li>Lead, coach, and mentor junior estimators<\/li>\n<li>Support material and equipment purchasing for secured key projects<\/li>\n<li>Maintain estimating databases (Bid2Win \/ Accubid)<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in industry, client, and community engagement to strengthen company presence<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>What are the Requirements?<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>We\u2019re looking for a <strong>seasoned electrical estimator<\/strong> with strong utility infrastructure experience and a collaborative, solutions\u2011driven mindset.<\/div>\n<ul class=\"list mt20\">\n<li>Degree, Diploma, or Trade Ticket in one of the following:\n<ul class=\"list mt20\">\n<li>Construction Engineering Technology<\/li>\n<li>Construction Management<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Trade Certification (Red Seal)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>10+ years of estimating experience<\/strong> in utility construction<\/li>\n<li>Strong preference for <strong>electrical utility estimating experience<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Experience with <strong>underground and\/or overhead utilities<\/strong> considered a strong asset<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and problem\u2011solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Strong stakeholder communication and relationship\u2011building skills<\/li>\n<li>Change awareness and adaptability in fast\u2011moving bid environments<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to continuous learning and improvement MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience with <\/strong><strong>Accubid<\/strong><strong> and\/or Bid2Win<\/strong> estimating software<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bonus Points:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"list mt20\">\n<li>P.Eng. designation<\/li>\n<li>Electrical trades background<\/li>\n<li>Gold Seal Certified (GSC)<\/li>\n<li>Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS)<\/li>\n<li>Project Management Professional (PMP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div style='font-weight: bold'>Contract Info \/ Information sur le contrat<\/div>\n<ul class='list mt20'>\n<li>Job ID \/ No. du Poste: 54314495<\/li>\n<li>Open Positions \/ Postes Ouverts: 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_job_location":"Vancouver, BC, Canada","_application":"jobs@fuzehr.com","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0},"job-categories":[912],"job-types":[746],"job_listing_career_level":[],"job_listing_experience":[],"job_listing_qualification":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.5 -
