About This Role
We are looking for a motivated and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join the corporate office in Mississauga. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will work closely with a small, high-performing HR team and partner with restaurant leadership to support, engage, and retain employees.<\/div>\n
In this role, you will provide coaching, guidance, and support in areas including:<\/div>\n
    \n
  • Employee wellness, health & safety, and engagement initiatives<\/li>\n
  • Early and Safe Return to Work program administration<\/li>\n
  • Performance management, professional development, and conflict resolution<\/li>\n
  • Workplace investigations<\/li>\n
  • Policy creation, compliance, and training programs<\/li>\n
  • Group benefit plan administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Key Responsibilities<\/div>\n
      \n
    • Act as a primary HR contact for employees and leadership.<\/li>\n
    • Conduct HR audits and communicate findings to ensure timely resolution.<\/li>\n
    • Develop policies, procedures, and training materials to support compliance and best practices.<\/li>\n
    • Draft employee communications and provide coaching on effective messaging.<\/li>\n
    • Lead legally defensible workplace investigations, including internal conflicts or regulatory inquiries.<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage return-to-work programs.<\/li>\n
    • Support the administration of group benefit plans.<\/li>\n
    • Provide leadership with resources and guidance to handle HR matters effectively and compliantly.<\/li>\n
    • Prepare accurate HR reports and dashboards for trend analysis and workforce planning.<\/li>\n
    • Monitor compliance with legal and internal processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      <\/p>\n

      Qualifications & Skills<\/div>\n
        \n
      • Undergraduate degree in HR or a related field; post-graduate HR certifications preferred. CHRP designation required or near completion; CHRL preferred.<\/li>\n
      • Minimum 3 years of corporate HR experience supporting 1,000+ employees across multiple sites. QSR or retail experience preferred.<\/li>\n
      • Expertise in talent management, employee relations, conflict resolution, investigations, occupational health & safety compliance, absence management, and legal risk mitigation.<\/li>\n
      • Proficiency with HR platforms (e.g., UKG Pro\/UltiPro) and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).<\/li>\n
      • Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.<\/li>\n
      • Reliable, credible, and able to work independently while supporting a small team.<\/li>\n
      • Ability to provide solutions, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality.<\/li>\n
      • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
