This is an on-site role based in Langley, BC, with frequent domestic and international travel requirements, best suited to a talented electromechanical technician with strong troubleshooting, commissioning, and service skills.     What are the Responsibilities?<\/strong><\/div>\n
    <\/strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    • Post-sales support, including client follow-up and training<\/li>\n
    • Identify issues in the field and resolve them; look for areas of improvement; bring forward ideas or solutions<\/li>\n
    • Write service reports and commissioning checklists upon trip completion<\/li>\n
    • Test equipment after assembly; follow FAT (factory acceptance test) steps; bring forward any concerns and ensure corrections<\/li>\n
    • Create procedures, instructions, reports, training information which may include manuals, PowerPoint, and videos<\/li>\n
    • Act as a content expert for Technical Writing department; support the development of manuals, procedures and documentation<\/li>\n
    • Follow-up on action items identified during commissioning or service trips<\/li>\n
    • (Future) Assist with Falcon SB bowl refurbishment program; generate reports for the Parts Team, help coordinate and remotely support wo processes<\/li>\n
    • Assist with larger projects including assembly, teardown and coordination; lead and direct a third-party vendor to fabricate and assemble company equipment<\/li>\n
    • Assist with shop assembly when resources require it; this may be-in Langley, Montreal, or at an international vendor<\/li>\n
    • Assist QA department with quality inspections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      <\/strong><\/div>\n
      Essential Skills & Capabilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n
      <\/strong><\/div>\n
        \n
      • Good mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude; follows company's or client's safety protocols; best practices; follows procedures; ability to follow directions; continued growth and development<\/li>\n
      • Experience with equipment commissioning and service<\/li>\n
      • Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting machinery both mechanically and electrically<\/li>\n
      • Able to read, follow, and understand mechanical (assembly) and electrical drawings<\/li>\n
      • Clear communication with clients and peers on equipment installation, operation, maintenance, and repair<\/li>\n
      • Understand how to see a job through and adjust your schedule to suit the task at hand<\/li>\n
      • Demonstrates personal leadership; looks to develop and stays up to date with required training including but not limited to MSHA, WHMIS, electrical safety, mineral processing, automation<\/li>\n
      • Use and understand various Automation software; be able to clearly understand directions if being instructed on a program change<\/li>\n
      • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editors<\/li>\n
      • Hold a valid Canadian passport and maintain good standing (or a strong international passport with no travel restrictions)<\/li>\n
      • When working onsite, able to match client hours which may require working 10-12 hour shifts<\/li>\n
      • Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally on short notice and up to 50% of the time \u2013 MUST hold a Canadian or other equally strong passport with no travel restrictions. <\/li>\n
      • Confident in making decisions, some of which may not be well received; diplomatic approach to ensure work gets done<\/li>\n
      • Well organized and able to prioritize activities<\/li>\n
      • Self-starter, proactive and motivated<\/li>\n
      • Ability to deliver under pressure or in uncomfortable conditions<\/li>\n
      • Must be dependable, trustworthy, accountable; owns mistakes and learns from them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        Bonus points for:<\/div>\n

        • Millwright (apprentice program) or Mechanical Technologist\/Engineer<\/li>\n
        • Electrician (apprentice program) or Electrical Technologist\/Engineer<\/li>\n
        • Mineral processing or mining experience<\/li>\n
        • Multiple languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
