Freight Handling Associate (Temp-to-Perm Opportunities)
Location: St-John\u2019s NL
Shifts: Both AM + PM

Ready for a fast-paced, dynamic job where no two days are the same? We're looking for Freight Handling Associates to join our team and help keep things moving at a major logistics hub that serves all of Canada! This is a hands-on role where you'll be part of a high-energy team, responsible for sorting, loading, and unloading freight to meet delivery schedules. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity where you\u2019ll gain skills in a fully automated environment and have the potential to transition into permanent roles with fantastic benefits and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:<\/strong>
– Sort and separate freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to ensure it\u2019s ready for timely delivery.
– Unload freight from curbside trucks onto conveyors and load it back into trucks.
– Move freight from conveyors or chutes for load-out, and load into linehaul trucks or trailers.
– Preload mail and packages into delivery vehicles.
– Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items when needed.
– Some team members are promoted to handle pre-load tasks, which require quick thinking and attention to detail (perfect for those who love a challenge!).
– Shift duties can change, meaning you'll be unloading, loading, and assisting in different areas throughout the day, keeping you engaged and moving.
– You\u2019ll be working indoors, so no weather worries, just a safe, structured environment.
Skills and Experience:<\/strong>
– Physical Stamina: This is a manual labor role where you\u2019ll be using pump trucks and manual jiggers.
– Attention to Detail: Ability to read addresses and handle freight quickly and efficiently.
– Teamwork: You\u2019ll be working closely with colleagues\u2014supporting each other, keeping things fun, and making sure everything gets done on time.
– Adaptability: The tasks can change throughout your shift, so you\u2019ll need to be comfortable moving between various roles in different locations.
– Experience: Previous experience with loading, unloading, and working with freight is helpful but not necessary. We provide full training to ensure your success.
