The Millwright is a member of the Maintenance team and as such, participates in team efforts to achieve assigned departmental goals. Working closely with all team members is critical in ensuring maintenance activities are completed correctly and on schedule, according to SOP\u2019s and local regulatory requirements. As a Maintenance Millwright on our team, your primary responsibilities will include examination, troubleshooting, replacement\/repair of a wide variety of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components. In addition, you will provide technical support to our production team during runtime hours to ensure optimal functionality of all production equipment within the facility. Utilizing our internal asset management system, your daily downtime routine will include preventative, corrective and facility maintenance. Additional tasks\/duties maybe required to meet operational demands.
What is Offered:<\/strong>
\u00b7 Wage: $40.50 (unlicensed) to $50.50 hour (licensed) + $2.00 hour \/hour night shift premium (if applicable)
\u00b7 Shift: Day shifts or night shifts
\u00b7 $2 per hour for the night premium (9pm to 6am)
\u00b7 Up to 5% quarterly BTIP bonus based on company targets (ex. $43.50+5%= $45.67 per hour if we hit our targets)
\u00b7 Benefits start after probationary period (Coverage attached) \u2013 please attach benefits overview sheet
\u00b7 $600 annual tool allowance (receipts required for reimbursement)
\u00b7 $170 + tax annual boot allowance (through our vendor only \u2013 keep receipts for reimbursement)
\u00b7 $200 referral bonus for applicable candidates
\u00b7 Pension plan, after 1 year Wonderbrands will match up to 2% and it can increase based on age\/years of service
\u00b7 2 weeks\u2019 vacation per year to start

Job Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\u00b7 Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs
\u00b7 Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
\u00b7 Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
\u00b7 Adjust equipment and repair\/replace defective components
\u00b7 Operate tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of equipment
\u00b7 Assemble equipment prior to installation using hand\/power tools and welding equipment
\u00b7 Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
\u00b7 Complete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedules
\u00b7 Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
\u00b7 Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times
\u00b7 Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy
\u00b7 Perform other related duties as assigned or required
The Ideal Candidate:<\/strong>
\u00b7 Ticketed or Apprenticeship Level (3-4) in the Millwright Trade
\u00b7 Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing is highly preferred)
\u00b7 High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (Required)
\u00b7 Proven track record working with Lathes, Milling Machines and Welding Equipment (ARC, TIG, MIG)
\u00b7 Above average problem-solving skills
\u00b7 Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
\u00b7 Thrives in a team environment
\u00b7 Strong verbal and written communication skills
\u00b7 Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
\u00b7 Focuses on continuous self-improvement
