About the Opportunity
A busy manufacturing facility in Brampton is looking to add a hands-on, motivated Extruder Operator to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, physically active environments and is seeking long-term stability and growth.
Candidates with experience in plastic or blown film extrusion are highly preferred.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/div>\n
\n- \n
Operate and monitor two extrusion lines continuously during a 12-hour shift.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Perform set-up procedures, including putting up the extrusion bubble and threading plastic through the line.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n- \n
Conduct hourly quality checks to ensure products meet specifications, including seals, bag lengths, openings, hole punches, and printing.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Collaborate with the foreman to troubleshoot and resolve operational or quality issues.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Conduct viscosity checks and handle alcohol, solvents, and inks accurately.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Manage order changeovers quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Maintain high attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Adhere strictly to safety procedures in hot production environments (heat-resistant gloves provided).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Navigate stairs and multiple mezzanine levels throughout the shift.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Remain active on your feet for the entire shift (sitting permitted during breaks only).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Qualifications:<\/div>\n
\n- \n
Prior experience in plastic or blown film extrusion preferred.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n- \n
Manufacturing or extrusion experience is an asset.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n- \n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt quickly in a dynamic production setting.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Comfortable working in hot conditions and physically capable of standing, walking, and stair climbing for 12-hour shifts.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Ability to follow instructions carefully and handle chemicals safely.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Working Conditions:<\/div>\n

Hot production floor; PPE and protective gloves provided.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
Physically demanding; frequent standing, stair climbing, and manual handling required.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

Fast-paced environment with minimal downtime.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
