Location: SW Calgary – Alberta<\/div>\n
Shift: 5:30am – 1:30pm<\/div>\n

Job Responsibilities<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Schedules and assigns daily work activities to staff and supervises the completion of tasks.<\/li>\n
  • Trains and guides staff on job duties, standard food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Cooks and prepares food following production guidelines and standardized recipes<\/li>\n
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment<\/li>\n
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items<\/li>\n
  • Safely uses all food utensils including knives<\/li>\n
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods<\/li>\n
  • Arranges, garnishes, and portions food following established guidelines<\/li>\n
  • Properly stores food by following food safety policies and procedures<\/li>\n
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils<\/li>\n
  • Maintains excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Follows Aramark safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation<\/li>\n
  • Ensures security of company assets<\/li>\n
  • Produces and maintains work schedules and may prepare production records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Qualifications<\/div>\n
      \n
    • Previous supervisor experience in a related role preferred<\/li>\n
    • Experience as a cook or related role required<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision required<\/li>\n
    • Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage<\/li>\n
    • Food safety certification required<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrates basic math and counting skills<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
