We are currently searching for a Full Time Logistic and Freight Coordinator for one of our client in Mississauga (Winston Churchill and Argentia Road)

Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Preparing goods for shipping on pallets, parcels and ships products and materials
  • Preparing BOL, recording shipment data, including weight, dimensions, shipping charges, tracking numbers
  • Requesting quotes from carriers for shipping orders, comparing and selecting the best one, case by case
  • Receiving, unpacking, checking, counting, booking-in and storing products and supplies
  • Making claim reports for damages and discrepancies, directing them to the right department
  • Completing shipping/receiving reports and storing the records
  • Operating forklift, storing pallets on multiple levels of racks up to 19 feet (5 % Only)
  • Maintaining forklift truck or other devices in the warehouse by completing preventive maintenance requirements
  • Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as: lifting, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling material
  • Handling and moving objects – using hands, arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
  • Participating in inventory counting
  • Cleaning the warehouse area at the end of the working day
  • Other related duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will fulfil the following criteria:

  • Positive attitude, team player, self-motivated, process oriented, good time management, reliable, reporting skills, respect are key traits we expect from the new colleague
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to70 lbs, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms and/or legs
  • Typing speed over 50 words per minute, experience in: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications
  • High school diploma with 2 – 4 years experience in the field or related area
  • Working knowledge of ERP System
  • Demonstrated ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Good arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to accurately count items and differentiate between very similar ones
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple scenarios at any given time
  • Ability to work alone and in a team setting
  • Work within a multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills.
  • Flexibility on changing working hours when necessary
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
