The Technology Risk Manager will be responsible for:

• Execute IT related audit procedures in support of financial statement audits and reporting on internal controls over financial reporting.
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of internal and external audit engagements and projects.
• Focus on the issuance of third-party 3416, SOC 1 & SOC 2 reports.
• Provide on-site support for clients which includes planning, briefing the teams on the client’s IT environment and completing audit engagements.
• Prepare IT reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of control structure, along with recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of a control or process.
• Discuss and resolve audit issues and provide recommendations with client management.
• Support team members and deliver IT audit trainings sessions as required.
• Nurture long-term client relationships and foster potential business development opportunities.

The qualifications for the Technology Risk Manager are:

• 5+ years of experience in operational risk and/or technical knowledge of IT related assessments or audits such as Internal Controls for Financial Reporting, SOX, SOC reporting
• Possess or have a CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP and/or CISM designation in process
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards and techniques
• Must be eligible to obtain a government secret clearance (Canadian resident for 10 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills with the aptness to facilitate discussions
• Strong experience interacting with clients at all levels
• Ability to coach and mentor staff
• Ability and willingness to travel
