Location: Wellington Ave, Winnipeg
Office Hrs: Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:30pm
·Prepare written and verbal quotations for customer requests other than engineered projects and maintain individual or branch written quote files. Accurately and completely within one day
·Accept and write up/enter all orders received by telephone, fax, mail, EDI and email, accurately and completely on day of receipt
·Prepare quotations for sales department when requested – other than engineered projects.
·Look after the customer with minimal assistance and within the customer’s time requirements
·Provide technical and product selection assistance to customers for all requests – other than engineered projects.
·Process registered return goods forms where required. Correctly within one day
·Assist outside sales reps in developing and maintaining special marketing initiatives such as specific product emphases and telemarketing. Submit summary of call results on a timely basis
·Assist in matching confirmations to orders. Within one day
·Suggest new stock items. Satisfactory turnover of suggested items
·Identify and communicate to customers regarding related products (i.e. cross-selling)
·Cross reference from competitive part numbers to appropriate client products
·Perform duty with minimal assistance
·Receive and check products for customer pick-up or inventory. Process correctly within four hours
·Pick, package and ship orders from stock. On-time performance, absence of credit notes
·Maintain a safe workplace. Avoidance of injury
·Receive “Returned Goods” from customer and forward to nearest repair facility. Within two working days
·Advise Regional Manager of need for repairs/improvements to branch facility. Keep facility looking professional
·Prepare hose assemblies (only as backup and only when requested by a manager) – By promised date/time
·Other duties as assigned
RELATIONS WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS
Expected to provide complete, accurate and timely information to Credit, Office Services, Inventory/Purchasing, Outside Sales, Technical Services and Service Departments.
PREREQUISITES AND EXPERIENCE
·College certificate or diploma (technical options preferred)
·Able to communicate effectively in speech and writing in the language of the workplace
·Mechanical aptitude determined using standard tests
·Strong fluids connectors and Fluid power knowledge is assets
