SMT Machine Operator

Position: SMT Operator – Machine Operator

Location: Mississauga, ON

Shifts Options:

Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday) – 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

Weekend Shift (Friday to Sunday) – 6:00 am to 6:30 pm

Job Summary:

As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine and related equipment. Your role involves coordinating and organizing SMT machine operations to ensure efficient production processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate the SMT Machine and related equipment including the scale, tape and reel counter, vacuum sealer machine, and parts programming machine.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of pick and place machines.
• Manage inventory storage systems, utilizing techniques such as FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Ensure compliance with packaging and labeling requirements.
• Handle the movement and creation of bin boxes, while performing cycle counts as needed.
• Effectively communicate any issues or concerns to the Team Leader.
• Perform hand placement of SMT components when required.
• Set up and operate the SMT Reflow Oven as part of the production process.
• Provide valuable feedback to enhance the quality, efficiency, and productivity of the SMT Line.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the operation of SMT equipment is considered an asset.
• Background in electronics manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in both written and oral English.
• Proficient in computer applications including Windows, Excel, and Word.
