Senior Engineer – Major Projects in Transportation

Join the extensive Transportation team as a Senior Engineer. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with passionate individuals who have developed a synergy and leading-edge expertise that is renowned in their field.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will be joining a rapidly growing multidisciplinary team, and will play a key administrative and technical role in connection with the planning, design and execution of diverse large-scale projects in the highway engineering, transportation structures, public transit and traffic engineering sectors.

·Identify project requirements, carry out studies, write technical reports and determine construction costs

·Actively participate in design or rehabilitation, detailed engineering and project management

·Take part in the assessment, inspection and supervision of work, as well as in the supervision of the work team assigned to projects

·Propose solutions to problems encountered and take all necessary measures to ensure that work progresses according to schedule

·Prepare change requests for approval and issue modification directives as needed

·Responsible for deliverables, budgets, schedules, resources and amendment approvals for projects under their responsibility

·Acts as a technical leader, while sharing and transferring knowledge

·Coordinates work execution and decides how tooling, materials and related resources should be used

·Responsible for the financial follow-up of his files – WIP and AR

·Participate in the preparation of proposals and budgets.

·Ensure resources workflow, in collaboration with managers

·Follow up with clients and ensure proper feedback

·Prepare meetings with clients, alone or as part of a team, depending on the level of complexity of the project and the type of client

·Responsible for the development and follow-up of the group for the integration of new operational or other systems, such as HSE, ISO, Office365

Specific focus will be on the following projects:

· The east end Montréal’s structuring transportation project, along with large-scale public transit mandates

· The design-build project for the Contre-Cœur terminal

· The Bonaventure Expressway reconfiguration into an urban boulevard project

· The Lac Mégantic railway bypass project

· The extension and reconfiguration of multiple road and highway segments (from planning to supervision, including opportunity studies, drawings, and specifications)

· Numerous specific projects in the airport sector


·10 years of relevant experience and solid understanding of civil engineering

·Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent training

·Minimum of eight years’ experience in civil engineering, (highway engineering, transportation structures, public transit, traffic engineering)

·Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

·Proficiency in French, oral and written

·Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

·Ability to travel frequently
