The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Performing practical data analysis and problem-solving for bioinformatics pipelines.
• Creating new algorithms to detect minimal residual disease and identify cancer at an early stage.
• Partnering with scientists in experimental laboratories and bioinformatics experts to design novel assay methods.
• Assisting external partners and internal by offering bioinformatics assistance.
• Sharing and communicating the outcomes of team projects and activities with various departments within the organization

The required qualifications for the Senior Data Engineer are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Possess more than 5 years of experience in software development and data engineering.
• Demonstrate a successful track record in designing and building data pipelines and systems, preferably within the AWS cloud environment.
• Exhibit strong proficiency in the Python programming language and its associated frameworks and libraries.
• Have expertise in utilizing Airflow/Kafka and implementing event-driven architecture for efficient data processing.
• Be familiar with database technologies like SQL and NoSQL, as well as concepts related to data warehousing.
• Have practical experience in implementing data security, privacy, and compliance measures.
• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Display outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
