Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES

• Preparation, review and analysis of monthly financial and KPI reports to help support the farming, sales and processing divisions
• Creation of new reports as required using HFM (Hyperion, corporate reporting), QlikView (database management / business intelligence) and Innova (processing) systems
• Work with business and IT to provide shop floor solutions
• Solve issues in cooperation with the global team, external consultants and resources from Infor
• Preparation of forecasts and annual budgets
• Analysis commentary to the financial reports
• Analysis of product and process costing to help ascertain optimal product mix and pricing
• Provide reports and participate in variance analysis (trend analysis, sales analysis, expense analysis, actual vs. budget/projections)
• Collaborate in re-engineering financial processes, implementation of new information systems and expansion projects
• Support global branding implementation
• Perform financial analyses for different special projects

The successful candidate will have:

• Accounting designation (CPA), or equivalent university degree in Finance / Accounting and related experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong understanding of ERP and corporate reporting systems required (Essential)
• Minimum 3 years of progressive financial reporting, cost accounting and financial analysis related experience or minimum 3 years of public accounting firm working experiences.
• Excellent computer skills, advanced skills in MS Office (expert user of Excel)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Able to work to and successfully meet tight deadlines
• Must currently reside in Canada and be eligible to work in Canada immediately.
