We are now seeking a talented Red Seal Machinist (manual) for an exciting, and highly lucrative opportunity available immediately! The Machinist will play an integral role in the ongoing maintenance of a historic production facility in beautiful Vancouver, BC, performing preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns as required, and fabricating parts and tools as necessary.

Compensation: $49.50 – $52/hr depending on the shift premium.
Schedule: weekly rotation of days, afternoons, nights (afternoons and nights have added $ premiums)

The Machinist will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing/replacing a broad variety of industrial mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform predictive/preventative maintenance according to PM schedule and maintaining accurate records of completed work
- Assembling and disassembling machinery, removing, repairing or fabricating new parts as required.
- Working with millwrights and other maintenance staff to ensure plant & all processing equipment is in safe, operational order 24/7
- Assist other teams/departments as necessary
The required qualifications for the Machinist are:
- Red Seal Machinist Trade Qualification (BC/Interprovincial)
- 2-3 years of mechanical maintenance experience within a relevant industrial or production environment
- Welding and fabricating skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Strong communication skills, ability to work well as part of a team
