Production Supervisor (Food Industry)

Our client, a Food Manufacturer located in the Peel area is looking to hire a full time Production Supervisor. Great opportunity for someone to learn and grow.

Your tasks as the Production Supervisor :

·Responsible for beginning of the day start up with pre-op team and the overall effectiveness of the plant operations

·Oversee the production floor of 6 lines

·Plan and organize production schedules

·Ensure to all policies and practices including heath and safety and HR

·Support and lead implementation of lean strategies

·All other duties assigned

The required qualifications of the Production Supervisor:

·Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality controls and costing

·3 years experience in a food processing/manufacturing environment along with 3 years experience as a production supervisor

·Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

·University degree or college diploma in Food Science, Engineering or Business

·High attention to details

·Ability to work in a fast-paced growing environment

·HACCP certified considered an asset

·Successful completed GMP food safety audits an considered an asset

·Flexible to work Monday to Saturday 7am – 5:30 pm
