We are currently partnering with our client in Markham to find a skilled Hand Soldering Production Associate. Position: Hand Soldering Production Associate

Location: Markham, ON

Shift: Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday) – 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Job Summary:

As a Hand Soldering Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in soldering through-hole and larger SMT components. Your attention to detail and precision soldering skills will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of electronic assemblies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform soldering of axial and radial leaded components.
• Execute soldering of through-hole connectors, single in-line, and dual in-line packages.
• Carry out soldering of 0603 or larger chip components and Metal Electrode Leadless Faces.
• Conduct soldering of 25 mils (0.025 in.) and above, including SOICs and PLCCs.

Qualifications:

• Previous electronics manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience working with microscopes is considered an asset.
• Ability to read and comprehend assembly documentation.
• Solid knowledge of SMT/TH or Mixed Technology assemblies as per IPC A-610 standards.

Working Environment:

Physical Demands:

• May occasionally require extended periods of standing or walking in a production environment.
• Must possess the physical capability to safely handle products weighing up to 25 lbs without causing harm.

Mental Demands:

• Capable of independently accepting and completing assignments in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Working Conditions:

• The working environment is generally clean; however, occasional exposure to dust may occur.
• Safety gear, including ESD protection, is required when working in safety-sensitive areas.
