PLC Programmer & Automation Specialist

Our client, an automation integration company located in Cambridge, ON is looking to hire a full time PLC Programmer & Automation Specialist to start immediately.

Your tasks as the PLC Programmer & Automation Specialist:

·Responsible for programming, startup, commissioning and troubleshooting PLC Systems with minimal supervision.

·Create design schematics, write and install computer programs, and test the efficacy of the installed program.

·Designs, creates, troubleshoots, and maintains industrial automation

·Programming and commissioning tasks

·Projects

·Responsible for travelling to customer sites within Southern Ontario and on occasional travel to US

·Experience with motion control and drive integration

·Experience with projects from beginning to end

·Other Duties as required

The required qualifications of the PLC Programmer & Automation Specialist:

·Minimum 3-4 years experience in programming

·Some Siemens experience is a must

·Design experience

·Experience in electrical/control system design

·Experience with networks such as ethernet I/P and Profinet is required

·Programming experience with PCL, HMI

·Driver’s license and reliable vehicle

·Valid passport

·Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
