What our client offers:

  • You have the opportunity to travel to Germany for two weeks as part of the company’s training program, and all expenses will be paid for.

The Junior Technical Outside Salesperson will be responsible for:

  • Traveling internationally to industry trade shows to develop business – primarily throughout North America
  • Learning about the product through technical documentation and training.
  • Use available resources to find new prospects and turn them into customers by identifying decision-makers.
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs by managing and interpreting their requirements.
  • Account management regarding client account information maintenance
  • Prepare responses to requests for quote/information and provide purchase orders to order entry.
  • Work with engineering and production teams to meet customer project requirements.
  • Keep track of client information that may affect company decisions and communicate it to appropriate departments.
  • Build relationships with customers and local representatives.
  • Promote products and services effectively to expand market awareness.
  • Convert inbound prospect inquiries into sales.
  • Develop existing accounts by suggesting related/new items and explaining technical features.

The required qualifications for the Junior Technical Outside Salesperson are:

  • Having a degree in Electrical/Electronics, or a combination of education and experience, is a plus.
  • Having one year of direct work experience in technical/Inside sales is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to travel internationally, specifically the Americas as well as Germany – Requirement
  • Demonstrating the ability to close deals and convert prospects is important.
  • Having experience in business development regarding opportunity triage, account management, outbound calls as well as an aptitude for time management is an asset.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is important.
  • Having excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, strong listening skills, and a professional appearance is important.
  • Having strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and good computer skills is important.
  • Being self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic is important.
  • Being able to work independently and as part of a team is important.
