Manual Machinist- Day Shift Concord

This position is located in Concord on a straight day shift (7am-330pm) and is a custom machining environment.

Your tasks as the General Machinist:

·Machine Setup: Set up various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, saw cut machines and grinders, by installing and adjusting cutting tools, loading materials.

·Tool Selection: Choose the appropriate cutting tools for each job and maintain tools in good condition, sharpening or replacing them as needed.

·Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for precision and quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain tolerances.

·Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand product specifications and machining requirements.

·Production Monitoring: Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to optimize production efficiency and minimize errors.

·Other duties assigned

The required qualifications of the General Machinist:

·3-5 year experience in a similar Manufacturing role

·Post Secondary Education a plus

·Experience with lathes, milling machines and saw cut machines and grinders

·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand product specifications and machining requirements

·Welding experience is a plus

·Must be a team and customer service-oriented individual

·Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner and follow all company safety standards

·Must be able to interact, communicate and work effectively and professionally with all employees and management staff in a team-oriented environment

·Must be able to spend a significant amount of time on plant floor.

·Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, ladder climbing, and occasional lifting of a minimal of 50 lbs
