Lowrise Site Supervisor

Job Title: Lowrise Site Superintendent – GTA Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lowrise Site Superintendent to join our team in the GTA. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of lowrise residential projects within the GTA. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors. Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site supervision and management of lowrise residential construction projects in the GTA.
• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling, subcontractor management, and material procurement.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and quality standards throughout the construction process.
• Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, enforcing safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety on-site.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect the progress of work, identify and address any issues or challenges, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed in accordance with project plans and timelines.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents to guide the construction process.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
• Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues, ensuring project timelines and budgets are maintained.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Superintendent in lowrise residential construction projects within the GTA.
• Strong knowledge of lowrise construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate on-site teams.
• Sound understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and coordination.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle challenges and changes during construction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the GTA as required.
