Position: Kitting

Location: Mississauga

Pay Rate: $17/Hour

Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm

Job Description:

The Materials Handler – Kitting will play a vital role in our electronic manufacturing process by ensuring efficient kitting, material handling, and inventory control. This position requires someone detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our manufacturing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform kitting of parts and materials for electronic manufacturing
• Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, addressing shortages and lost/found parts
• Communicate inventory issues and adjustments to Supply Chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams
• Conduct inventory adjustments as required
• Participate in return audit functions and stocking of parts
• Utilize tools like scales and reel counters for accurate measurements
• Implement inventory storage systems such as First-in-First-out (FIFO)
• Package and label parts effectively
• Organize bin boxes and conduct cycle counts
• Verify parts using Manufacturing Part Number and Creation Part Number Validation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing related to material handling and inventory control is an asset
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Experience with Oracle is preferred

Working Environment:

Physical Demands:

• Periodically stand or walk for extended periods in a production environment
• Ability to safely handle products weighing up to 25lbs without causing injury

Mental Demands:

• Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges efficiently

Working Conditions:

• Generally clean working environment with occasional exposure to dust
• Use of ESD and safety gear required in safety-sensitive areas
