FORKLIFT COUNTER BALANCE AND GENERAL LABOR POSITIONS

Fuze HR Solutions is immediately hiring for a full time permanent Forklift Operator and General Labor in the North York and Concord region for one of our client who have been successful full service metal recycling corporation.

They are recognized as a leading and innovative recycler and distributor of metal products, thanks to the efforts of a passionate and dedicated team of people who drive success every day.

OPTION 1 – FORKLIFT COUNTER BALANCE OPERATOR

Pay Rate: $20 – $23 per hour (based on experience)

Benefits: TBD – need clarification

Day Shift: 7am to 3:30pm, Mon to Fri

Afternoon: 3pm to 11:30Pm, Mon – Fri

Job Duties

• Use a counterbalance forklift to load and unload trucks
• Move material to various areas in the building using a forklift
• Inspect material for quality
• Lifting up to 40-50lbs as needed
• Work in a fast paced environment

What are we looking for?

• 1 or more years experience as a Forklift Operator in a fast paced industrial environment
• Must have a valid Counter Balance Certification
• Capable of operating a counter balance propane forklift
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Desire to learn and grow with a company

OPTION 2 – GENERAL LABOR

With starting rates from $19-$22/hour based on your experience & qualifications, you will be working in a team environment and you will be involved with the shipping, receiving and processing of recycled metal as well as general housekeeping of the yard.

Key Responsibilities

Sort material according to type and grades, using new modern equipment

Upgrade material, to provide a higher profit value

Prepare material for shipment

Move and stock material with material handling equipment (forklift), we will train you on forklift if not experienced

Be an extra helping hand with general housekeeping requirements

Demonstrate attention to detail

Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in an industrial facility is an asset

Previous forklift experience is an asset

Good English communication skills

Possess the desire and ability to learn
