Intermediate Environmental Geoscientist – Niagara/Hamilton

A dynamic and growing environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced Intermediate Environmental Geoscientist to support a wide range of geoscience and geotechnical engineering projects across Ontario. Key Responsibilities
· Lead and support Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and assist in the preparation of Records of Site Condition (RSCs).
· Conduct field investigations including environmental and geotechnical drilling, test pitting, and the collection and analysis of soil and groundwater samples.
· Perform Excess Soil Assessments in alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
· Carry out Designated Substance and Hazardous Materials Surveys.
· Execute hydrogeological field investigations and contribute to data interpretation.
· Coordinate and manage subcontractors and on-site personnel.
· Ensure full compliance with relevant Ontario environmental regulations, including O.Reg. 153/04, O.Reg. 511/09, and O.Reg. 406/19, as amended.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Earth Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree considered an asset).
· Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in environmental and/or geotechnical site investigations within Ontario.
· Professional designation (P.Geo. or P.Eng.), or eligibility for registration, preferred.
· Strong technical writing capabilities with demonstrated experience preparing high-quality environmental reports.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD for site mapping and design support.
· Skilled in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working with PDFs.
· Familiarity with hydrogeological data analysis and modeling software is considered an asset.
· Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for daily site travel.
· Must be eligible for Canadian government and police security clearances.
