Our client is known for being forward-thinking and innovative in high performance products built for office, commercial and institutional spaces. They are currently seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Specialist. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor – NPI, the Electrical Manufacturing Specialist role is to create and deploy an electrical quality assurance program and assembly processes and provide training on new products.
- assist the team in the research and identification of new potential technologies, equipment, and tools to reduce cost, and improve assembly efficiency.
- the Electrical Manufacturing Specialist will lead the introduction of new products and ensure effective project execution according to the company values and objectives
- develop manufacturing work instructions, coordinate pilot runs, and perform productions tests and streamline operations.
- Create electrical work instructions and assembly procedure for the introduction of new products.
- Provide technical support to the production team on the introduction of new LED and Controls technologies for lighting products.
- Provide technical support and assist the production team in resolving daily electrical assembly related problems.
- Prepare project timelines and identify all resource requirements, evaluate financials for manufacturing processes of New Products assigned.
- Assist in the Feasibility and profitability analysis of new equipment and technology acquisition.
- Investigate root cause analysis of quality issues (mainly electrical) in manufacturing and manage quality related NC’s and SNAG’s.
- Assist the team in creating FMEA and DFA analysis and implement corrective actions for design and processes of all New Products (NPI).
- Manage process quality control system to ensure all manufactured products meet defined specifications prior to shipment.
- Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or automation role in a manufacturing environment.
- Software: PLC programming and other automation software.
- Electrical Design, Engineering and Project Management, UL and CSA codes.
- Knowledge of production and assembly processes, good communication skills, and Ability to work in a team setting Multitasking.
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools are a plus.
