Your tasks as the Corporate & Commercial Law Clerk/ Legal Assistant:

  • Prepare all documents for lawyers and maintain a great filing system using a FastCo database
  • Any other duties assigned by management, and must be flexible to work longer over time hours
  • Maintenance of corporate records and minute taking, preparing general and annual corporate filings
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Business Corporations Act, Canada Business Corporations Act, Limited Partnerships Act and Business Names Act

The required qualifications of the Corporate & Commercial Law Clerk/ Legal Assistant:

  • Great customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of Ontario Business Corporations Act, Canada Business Corporations Act, Limited Partnerships Act and Business Names Act
  • Preparing documentation in support of corporate transact
  • Can work independently and as a team player
