We are looking for Continuous Improvement Engineer for our client in Mississauga

Summary of Responsibilities

This Continuous Improvement Engineer will provide support to the Company’s world class manufacturing journey with experience and background in methods and industrial engineering (i.e., time studies, ergonomics, manufacturing optimization) by driving and implementing Continuous Improvement activities. This position entails direct interaction with all levels of the organization and requires a professional who is capable of navigating the technical world and to engage with the teams to promote changes through constant coaching for spreading a CI culture.

This candidate will be an agent of change with an open mind for understanding and communicating the importance of continuous improvement by rolling up his/her sleeves and leading by example. Major Responsibilities

· Lead the WCM processes and drive it through the route for achieving World Class standards· Coordinate and support all 5S related activities for driving change from the bottom up· Facilitate lean manufacturing training when needed· Support improvement activities within needed WCM pillars· Coordinate and support activities towards planned WCM audits· Conduct material flow analysis and make recommendations for improvement in material handling and manufacturing layout· Have direct involvement in developing new and improving existing processes to maximize production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) while coordinating and reporting actions around KAIs (Key Action Indicators) in place· Identify, classify, prioritize, challenge, and propose solutions for existing losses (e.g., 3M’s: Muri, Mura, Muda)· Have an open mind for understanding the impact across all areas of the business and all WCM pillars after implementing Lean Manufacturing tools· Provide coaching and support to shift supervisors and crews including studies, investigations, and problem solving· Challenge status quo in a persuasive way, always using a coaching approach· Support the lean manufacturing suggestion program, and other Kaizen activitiesRequirements

· Must have 3+ year of experience in manufacturing environment or process industry, continuous improvement efforts

· Ability to identify and understand all types of waste using lean manufacturing tools against daily activities

· Experience in product flow optimization, identification of inefficiencies and waste through lean manufacturing concepts, including but not limited to: Layout optimization, JIT, SMED, OEE

· Experience with key Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts including: root cause analysis, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, 5 Why’s

· Proven project management skills with the ability to bring projects to closure on time and within budget
