We are looking for responsible and dedicated Assistant Micro Lab Technician for one of our clients in Etobicoke, Ont. This is a long term, temp to perm position for the right candidate. If you have some Food Manufacturing experience, are self-motivated, have strong attention to detail skills are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and are looking for a LONG-TERM position, please give us a call today!

What Are The Perks:

• Hours – Monday to Friday Continental rotational shifts
• $17.75/hour + 4% vacation pay, paid on a weekly basis
• $500 Bonus after 6 months total

Responsibilities

• Assists in sample collection and verification; sample encoding and media preparation;
• and disposal of tested finished goods
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of lab spaces and incubation room by sanitizing
• various lab furniture’s and lab equipment to ensure the lab is clean, uncluttered, and well
• organized as per 5S principles
• Palletizes packages for disposal
• Assists in maintaining inventory supply. Advises the Team Lead of low inventory stock of
• microbiological supplies
• Ensures fresh Reverse Osmosis (RO) water availability in the lab everyday
• Assists in pH checks of samples for feasibility studies or validation runs as per customer’s
• requirement
• Other duties as assigned
• Compliance at all times with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational
• safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements
• etc.
• Compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management Systems which includes,
• but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP
• Compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements

Qualification

• At least 6 months’ work experience in food manufacturing, preferably in a beverage
• manufacturing facility
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
• Must be able to prioritize assigned duties and demonstrate flexibility
• Knowledge of PC software: Microsoft Excel and Word is an asset
• Able to do repetitive lifting of approximately 20 lbs.
