Our client, a growing enterprise within the retail construction industry, is currently searching for a Senior Project Manager to work from their office located in Terrebonne. This position requires a candidate who will be responsible to run the general daily operations with respect to the tasks involved in the construction of retail stores across Canada, but more specifically for box stores within Canada.

Your tasks as a Senior Project Manager:

  • Prepare project opening form, file structure and open projects on
  • Follow bid invitations
  • Obtain contractor city permits
  • Obtain Contractor Voluntary Registrations
  • Obtain WCB permits and conformity letters
  • Acquire construction documents from professionals
  • Prepare and send purchase orders to sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Acquire shop drawings from sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Prepare documents for “site-binder” and update regularly with site supervisor
  • Represent project manager at various meetings
  • Assist project manager in various tasks as necessary
  • Acquire and prepare closing documents
  • Prepare and gather as built drawings
  • Occasional travel

Requirements for the Senior Project Manager Position:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in retail box store construction
  • Bilingualism (EN/FR) written & spoken
  • Have strong leadership skills, be diplomatic and motivated
  • Must be able to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Must have experience in negotiation
  • Have experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on schedule and within budget close
