7 To-Do’s for regaining motivation after coming back from a well-deserved vacation

After taking a vacation, your return to the office is not the most exciting thing ever. Thinking about readapting your sleeping schedule, your work routine and tasks that have not yet been dealt with… so many factors that play a role in your morale. To make your comeback to the office better for you, there are several techniques that allow you to strengthen your motivation and potentially increase your productivity.

Here are 7 ways to motivate you to get back into your usual work routine.

  1. Change your alarm’s ringtone. Waking up in the early morning is your first challenge, especially when you have been waking up a different time during your vacation. What is even more challenging is to wake up in your best mood! After getting used to waking up anytime during the day, using back your old ringtone might not be as effective. Find a ringtone that could motivate you could be the solution. Find one with a beat that makes you be in a happier mood and could get you out of your bed. This could be a good start for your first back to work day and motivate you to go through the big day.
  2. Get used to waking up early again. Don’t get back to your early routine right after your vacation. You don’t want to give your body a harsh change. Try to wake up earlier 2 to 3 days before your first day of work. You can make gradual changes to the time you wake up by advancing your alarm 15mins every day till you get back to the time you usually wake up.
  3. Reconnect with your co-workers. Going back to work means meeting your co-workers after a while. You might not know them as much before, but it is great to take some time with them. It is a way to know
  4. Review and set new and better goals. When you arrive at the office, you can start by reviewing the past results. Thanks to your holiday, you will be able to step back and make a correct assessment with a more objective reflection on the actions put in place previously.
