Project Coordinator – Burlington, Ontario
Key Purpose:
The Project Coordinator (PC) plays a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects of various scopes and complexities. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, the PC is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and managing project-related activities. This role ensures the project team has access to the most accurate and current information to support decision-making and project progression.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Track weekly construction schedules, comparing baseline vs. actual timelines; identify and report deviations to the Project Manager.
- Proactively create, issue, and monitor construction documentation using project management software.
- Maintain and update the trade list for each project.
- Manage purchase order documentation and update project budgets as needed.
- Collect and organize product manuals, warranty documents, inspection reports, and certifications from subcontractors for project close-out.
- Coordinate and issue certification documents to clients for training and project handover.
- Maintain thorough documentation and logs, ensuring proper review and approval by project stakeholders (e.g., Designers/Engineers).
- Handle post-construction support calls and initiate timely responses to client warranty concerns.
- Prepare and submit accurate billing documentation to the Finance team on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols in collaboration with the HSE Manager.
- Ensure project close-out is completed within required timelines.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to close all relevant permits and ensure final approvals with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Provide ongoing support and coordination with Project Managers and Site Superintendents.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry
