Our Client is a respected, global manufacturing organization, supplying their patented cutting tools within oil and gas, power generation, food and chemical manufacturing and municipal utilities service-providers.

We are exclusively recruiting for a Senior Manager to head up their Welding, Pipes, Valves & Fittings Canadian operations.

Position: National Sales & General Manager

Salary: $115,000 – $120,000

Benefits: Full Comprehensive and Bonus

Technical Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years full cycle sales and management experience, selling industrial heavy tools
  • Outstanding relationship-building with demonstrated experience supplying at a multi-million dollar project-based level to all size organizations as well as, within the Canadian governmental power generation sites and Alberta oil/gas fields
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude to work ‘hands on’ with equipment in the field at project sites, capable of operating field demo’s of sizeable equipment to Engineers and senior Project Managers.
  • Experience managing a 20-person (multiple province) team with successful execution of ‘P & L’ functional operations while driving long-term strategic sales of 3 distinct revenue categories.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Canadian operations for ‘branded’ product line sales of heavy industrial welding, and cutting tools including marketing, sales, financial and administrative efforts

  • Strategic sales execution into new markets and driving organic growth

  • Dynamic leadership skills and communications, to attract and retain top performers

  • Manage multiple goals, projects and maintain ‘open-door’ accessibility to the team

Key Competencies & ‘Must Haves’:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma – preferably business, finance or mechanical engineering

  • Proven sales track record of success

  • P & L knowledge and effective execution to meet budget forecasts

  • Proficiency with ERP-sized technology platform and MS Office applications

  • Flexible to travel (60%) extensively in Ontario and across Canada with periodic US travel
